lettance

Your homes, in ChatGPT and Claude.

Connect Lettance to the assistant you already use. It sees every home's certificates, deadlines and repairs, answers with the rule behind it, and records checks and repair updates.

Included in both plans, from £9 a month. Works with Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor, Gemini CLI and more. ChatGPT needs a Business, Enterprise or Edu workspace.

Example of an assistant with Lettance connected. Asked what needs sorting in the next month, it uses Lettance and lists 3 things: Reply to the tenant's report about the boiler at Flat 2, 14 Example Street by 17 October 2026. Fix the 2 faults in the electrical report at Flat 2, 14 Example Street by 24 October 2026. Gas safety check by a Gas Safe engineer at 9 Mill Lane by 7 November 2026. Told that the Legionella risk assessment at 9 Mill Lane was done today, it records it in that home's evidence record.

The same assistant, with your records and the law behind it

A general assistant is good at writing and explaining. Lettance gives it the facts about your homes.

Your homes
On its own: Knows nothing about them unless you paste the details into every chat.
With Lettance: Sees every home, tenancy, certificate and open repair you keep in Lettance.
The law
On its own: Answers from what it learned in training, which can be out of date.
With Lettance: Answers from 77 rules, each linked to legislation.gov.uk or GOV.UK, and we watch those sources for changes.
Council licensing
On its own: Cannot tell which licensing scheme covers a particular street.
With Lettance: Knows the schemes ward by ward for 170 of 296 English councils, from each council's own pages.
Certificates
On its own: Reads a file you upload to that chat, then forgets it.
With Lettance: Uses what Lettance read from each certificate: the dates, the faults and what counts.
Notices
On its own: Works the dates out from scratch each time you ask.
With Lettance: Gives rent increase (Form 4A) and possession notice (Form 3A) dates, worked out the same way as your notice.
Records
On its own: Keeps nothing once the chat ends.
With Lettance: Records the Legionella, furniture and HMO checks you did, and repair updates, in each home's evidence record.

Ask it in your own words

Your assistant picks the right Lettance tool. A few things landlords ask:

  • “What is due across my homes before Christmas?”

Every dated check, soonest first, with anything overdue.

  • “Which home should I deal with first?”

Your homes in the order the dashboard uses: emergencies, then urgent repairs, then overdue checks.

  • “Is the electrical report for Flat 2 all right?”

What Lettance read from it: its dates, each fault it found and whether it counts.

  • “When can the new rent start at 9 Mill Lane?”

The earliest date for a Form 4A rent increase, with the rule that decides it.

  • “The boiler at Flat 2 is booked for Thursday. Note it.”

A repair update in that home's evidence record. Your assistant never contacts the tenant.

  • “I did the Legionella risk assessment today. Log it.”

The date added to the evidence record, marked as recorded from your assistant.

You stay in control

You sign in and choose what your assistant can do. It only sees your own homes.

  • You choose what it can do

Read only, or read and record changes. You pick when you connect, and you can disconnect it in Settings at any time.

  • Every change is marked

Anything your assistant records goes into the home's evidence record under the app's name, so you can always see where it came from.

  • It never contacts your tenants

Your assistant can record a repair update. Sending anything to a tenant stays in Lettance, where you decide.

  • Some things stay in Lettance

Your assistant never sees the certificate files themselves or your tenants' contact details.

Connect in about 2 minutes

Add Lettance as a connector, then sign in when your assistant asks. Tools that cannot sign in use a token from Settings instead.

  1. In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector.
  2. Paste the address below and add the connector. Keep Claude's recommended sign-in settings.
  3. Choose Connect. Sign in to Lettance and choose what Claude can do.
  4. On a Team or Enterprise plan, an owner adds the connector in Organization settings first.

Every Claude plan can add custom connectors. The Free plan can add one.

No assistant? Lettance has its own

Every home in Lettance has an assistant built in, with the same records and rules. The Monday email and a calendar feed tell you what is due without asking.

Questions

Do I need a paid plan?

Yes. Connecting your own homes is part of both plans, from £9 a month. The public rules and council licensing tools are free for anyone, with no account.

Does it use my Lettance assistant allowance?

No. Questions you ask from ChatGPT, Claude or another tool run on that tool, so they do not count towards the monthly assistant allowance in Lettance. Your AI provider may charge for its own plan.

Which ChatGPT plans can connect?

Today ChatGPT lets Business, Enterprise and Edu workspaces add custom connections like this one, and on Business an admin or owner adds it. Other ChatGPT plans cannot add them yet. Claude works on every plan, including Free.

What does my AI provider see?

What your assistant asks for: your homes' addresses, checklists, dates, what we read from documents and repair reports. Never the document files or your tenants' contact details. The provider handles it under its own terms, which you can read in its privacy settings.

Can it make mistakes?

Yes. The dates, checklists and rule links come from Lettance, so they are the same as in the app. Your assistant writes the reply around them, so check its wording against the linked rule before you act on anything important.

What if I stop paying?

Connected tools stop working, and your records stay readable in Lettance.
