Landlord licensing, council by council
Each council in England decides its own selective and additional licensing. For each council we research, we read its designations, fee pages and penalty policy and list what we found, with the council's links.
We have researched all 33 London councils. Other regions are in progress: 30 of 263 councils outside London so far.
If your council has designated an additional HMO licensing area or a selective licensing area covering your property, you must hold a licence for it. Schemes, areas, fees and conditions vary by council. The rule
